What Should You Do In The Case Of Electricity Cut:
 

Electricity Cut In Daytime Can Be For The Following Reasons:

  • Overloading .
  • Short circuit.
  • Not paying the electricity bill.
  • A problem in the network due to digging in areas where there is electricity cables, or maintenance works by GEDCo. In that case you should do the following:
    • Try to unplug all electronics devices and turn on some of the lights to know when the current got back in the lines.
    • Check the control board and if you see any of the half automatics off turn it back on. In case the half automatic turns back off by itself, do not play with any of the cables and call a professional technician.
    • If the half automatic is on, that means that the bill has not been paid.
    • If the reason is not paying the bill, then you must pay it before you get the electricity back.
    • If the bill is paid and the half automatic is on, then there must be a problem in the electricity network, or maintenance works , you should contact your provider (GEDCo.), the maintenance department tel. 133 and inform them about this problem, providing information as subscription number and location of the house.

 

Electricity Cut In Night Time You Should Do The Following Steps:

  • Unplug all devices with big loads like air conditioners so that the overload is contained and it make it easier to get the current back on. It is also safer for all devices from the dangers of being burned from the sudden reconnecting of current.
  • Make sure that the problem is only in your house so check to see if your neighbors have electricity. In the case of having the problem only at your house then it is due to an overloading or to a short circuit.
  • Check the control board and if you see any of the half automatics off turn it back on. In case the half automatic turns back off by itself, do not play with any of the cables and call a professional technician to fix up the problem. In the case of a problem with the whole area, please call GEDCo. using 133.
