استجابت لجنة طوارئ كهرباء غزة بمحافظة خانيونس لطلب المستشفى الكويتي الميداني، حيث قامت بتركيب شبكة كهربائية بطول 450 مترًا، بهدف تشغيل محطة تحلية المياه التابعة للمستشفى.
ويهدف المشروع إلى توفير المياه الصالحة للشرب، مما يعزز من صمود المؤسسات الطبية والمرضى، ويحسن من مستوى الظروف المعيشية لآلاف النازحين في المنطقة المحيطة.
ورغم التحديات الكبيرة التي تواجه الشركة بما في ذلك شح الموارد وصعوبة الأوضاع أبدى فريق عمل الشركة إصرارًا على أداء واجبه الوطني والمجتمعي وانجاز هذا المشروع.
وفي السياق، أعرب الدكتور صهيب الهمص، مدير المستشفى الكويتي الميداني، عن امتنانه لشركة توزيع الكهرباء على استجابتها السريعة وتوفيرها الدعم الضروري، مؤكدًا أن هذه الجهود تمثل نموذجًا للمسؤولية الاجتماعية وتسهم بشكل مباشر في تحسين حياة النازحين.
من جانبها، أشادت الشركة بجهود موظفيها الذين واصلوا العمل رغم الظروف الجوية القاسية، مؤكدة التزامها المستمر بتقديم الخدمات الأساسية لسكان قطاع غزة، ودعت كافة الجهات إلى تكاتف الجهود لضمان استمرار تقديم هذه الخدمات وإعادة التيار الكهربائي إلى القطاع، الذي يعاني من أزمة انقطاع طويلة منذ السابع من أكتوبر 2023.

The GEDCo's Emergency Committee in Khan Yunis Governorate has responded to the request of the Kuwaiti Hospital by installing a 450-meter electrical network to operate the hospital's water desalination station.
The project aims to provide safe drinking clean water, enhance the resilience of medical institutions and patients, while improving living conditions for thousands of displaced families in the surrounding area.
Despite the significant challenges faced by the company, including scarce resources and difficult circumstances, GEDCo's team has showed determination to fulfill the national and social duty and complete the project.
In this context, Dr. Sohaib Al-Homs, Director of the Kuwaiti Hospital, expressed his gratitude to GEDCo for the prompt response and essential support. He emphasized that such efforts represent a an example of social responsibility and contribute in improving the lives of displaced families.
The company, in its turn, commended its employees for their dedication and for working under harsh weather conditions. It reaffirmed its commitment to providing essential services to the residents of the Gaza Strip and called on all parties to collaborate to ensure the continuity of these services and restore electricity to the area, which has been suffering from prolonged outages since October 7, 2023.
